| Underwater Birthday Parties With Denver Divers! You Provide the Kids, We Provide The Bubbles | |
For kids eight and up, we can give your birthday boy or girl a pretty unique birthday party. We’ll put the party-goers in pint-size scuba gear and take them “down under” in our indoor saltwater pool. | Scuba Ranger Class Starts Monday, July 19, 2010 | |

We are excited to be offering a third Scuba Rangers class starting Monday, July 19, 2010. We have just two spaces left! Classes run 1 pm to 4 pm for the full week - Monday through Friday. The final Friday class is a demonstration of all the scuba skills kids have learned during the week. Scuba Rangers gives kids 8 - 12 the chance to scuba dive in our on-site pool using kid-sized equipment that we provide. Denver Divers also provides a student kit, daily snacks, and a graduation T-shirt for $275. We are also offering a class August 9 - 13. The summer's three remaining club meetings include underwater photography, fish identification, and a "behind-the-scenes" visit to the Denver Aquarium. All kids under 13 are welcome to join the Ranger's Club and enjoy the activities. We have attached a Rangers' flier. Call or drop by soon. Aurora Reservoir Clean-Up: Saturday, July 10 at 8am Join Denver Divers in helping Aurora Parks and Recreation in making Aurora Reservoir cleaner! We will be picking up trash on the beaches and surrounding water lines as well as diving for trash throughout the Reservoir. The Reservoir will be open for us to dive in the dive beach area, swim beach area, and mooring field to pick up trash and larger items dumped in the Reservoir. We welcome all divers to come assist, either in or out of the water! If you have training in Search & Recovery, we will need your skills to recover larger items such as boat motors, batteries, etc. Aurora Parks and Recreation will also be providing lunch for volunteers, as well as free parking for volunteer vehicles. Because this is a fun and charitible event, we will not be charging for equipment or tank rental, though we will be enforcing a strict cleaning charge on any item returned dirty. Please call the shop to reserve your tank, equipment, etc today! Please join us this Saturday, June 26 for a Film and Food event. We will be watching "Navy SEALS", a Discovery Channel program. Potluck will begin at 6:30pm and the film will start at 7:00pm • About the Film: The 83 men of Class 234 selected for Basic Underwater Demolition (SEAL-BUDS) training have the toughest six months of their lives in sight. While they've been selected from over 1,500 applicants, only 32 of them will actually become U.S. Navy SEALs. Go behind a structured world of sacrifice designed to force BUDS students to the limits of their physical and emotional endurance. In this episode underwater testing begins in both the ocean and pool in what may be the most difficult test of all. The men are immersed with hands and feet tied and competing at underwater swimming, overcoming their panic and fear. On Friday May 28, technical dive professionals and Poseidon corporate leaders will spend eight hours at Denver Divers, allowing staff and invited customers to experience diving with the new MARK VI Re-Breather. Re-breather diving produces no bubbles. This new diving technology allows underwater photographers and naturalists to dive close and stay longer. The advanced technology also brings the cost of the Mark VI within reach of motivated recreational divers. Come to Denver Divers Friday to find out how to dive deeper, stay longer and see more, using the next generation in dive gear. Formal re-breather presentations will be held at 3 pm and 6 pm.
